This experimental documentary features young actors reenacting life stories shared by older individuals through interviews. Each actor is intentionally cast in contrast to the original storyteller’s race, gender, and age, prompting viewers to confront their assumptions about identity and authenticity. By disrupting conventional representation, the work challenges ingrained stereotypes and explores how empathy, memory, and performance shape our understanding of others.
